The Solar Future: India II
On 29 February 2012 Solarplaza will be organising 'The Solar Future: India II', a high-level market-oriented conference focused on the growing Indian solar PV market.
2011 has been a remarkable year for the Indian Solar PV Market. The country's huge potential is finally being realised and the industry is rapidly developing, turning India into one of the world's biggest PV markets. In just one year, India's installed capacity has risen from 22 MW to almost 250 MW - and this is only just the beginning. The various bidding rounds issued by the national and regional governments have been met with unprecedented enthusiasm from national and international players. The number of projects is continually growing and India's pipeline is expanding explosively. By 2014, India is expected to have 14.5 GW of installed solar PV capacity. Experts are even predicting that this amount will hit 33.4 GW by 2022.
When Solarplaza organised India's first international Solar PV conference in January 2011, they were one of the first to acknowledge India's solar potential and through this conference brought together a team of industry experts and entrepreneurs who together mapped out India's promising solar future. In February 2012, Solarplaza will return to Jaipur to organise a second edition of "The Solar Future: India". There will be room for reflection on the past year, but we will quickly turn our gaze forward to discuss the next level for the Indian solar PV market and industry.
Top national and international speakers, from leading industry players, financial institutions, industry associations and governmental departments will share their knowledge and explain their inspiring visions. The combination of their knowledge and the audience's expertise and participation will provide a platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the Indian market. Solarplaza's unique and proven conference formula will guarantee a successful and valuable event filled with inspiring speeches, intensive dialogue and audience participation, and extensive networking opportunities.
